Illustration work this week

The time to work on my illustration has been only a small amount this week. I haven’t had the time to make progress on this project as much as I have wanted to but feeling that I have made a fairly good amount of ‘The Beast’ this past sunday. I spent a good 6 hours finishing the face and all its detail.

So here is where I am this week in the process.

I’ve finished all the 2nd and 3rd level highlights on all the fur and maine, plus adding in the detail of the eyes and surrounding areas.

I’ve had many people ask me to take a more closer look at the face,  so I have attached the below shot of a close up of the detail.

Here is hoping this coming week I can finish off the rest of the beast and start working on the girl.

I have set a finish date for this project. 1st of September, that gives me more than enough time finish this without rushing, and a good 3 weeks before the competition closing date for entries. Any encouragement or cheering will be well appreciated to keep me going in times that I am running only empty.
